I. Definition of power:
Primary power of the generator set:
1. The average load rate exceeding 24 hours of running does not exceed 70%.
2. Within every 12h, with an overload by 10%, the engine can run for 1h.
3. The annual running time does not exceed 3000h.
Continuous power of the generator set:
1. The annual running time is not limited.
2. Run under constant 100% load.
3. The capacity of 10% overload.
II. The requirements of power matching:
1. For ship types with annual running time exceeding 3000h or large impact load, such as seine fishing with light, refrigerating, rake and prick, floating crane, sand suction boat and wind power installation, the model shall be selected according to the continuous power of the generator set.
2. For ship types such as inland river transport ships, coastal fishing boats and high-speed boats with domestic electricity or auxiliary pumps as the main load, the model can be selected according to the normal power of the generator set.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the distinction between primary and emergency marine generator sets?
Primary marine generator sets are designed for continuous or standard electrical power supply during normal vessel operations, covering a range of 16-8170kW. Emergency generator sets (ranging from 30-900kW) are dedicated units reserved for fallback security and emergency crew power needs in case of primary system failures.
What regulatory standards do these marine diesel generator sets comply with?
The manufacture and testing of these marine generator sets comply strictly with the general technical conditions defined by the GB/T13032-2010 Marine Diesel Generator Set standard, ensuring high safety and operation quality standards for ship applications.
How is the Primary Power rating of these generator sets defined?
Primary Power is defined under three conditions: (1) The average load rate over 24 hours of operation must not exceed 70%. (2) The system allows a 10% overload operation for up to 1 hour within every 12-hour cycle. (3) The total cumulative annual running time should not exceed 3000 hours.
Under what conditions should I select a model based on Continuous Power?
You should choose a continuous power rating model for vessels with high annual operational demands exceeding 3000 hours, or those experiencing large, sudden impact loads. Examples include seine fishing boats with high-intensity lighting, refrigerating vessels, floating cranes, sand suction boats, and wind power installation ships.
What options are available for starting and regulating the speed of the generator?
These units support dual starting systems, accommodating either an electric starter or an air/pneumatic starter. Speed regulation can be handled via mechanical or electronic systems depending on model preferences and matching requirements.
What packaging is used for delivery?
The standard transport packaging for these marine diesel generators is a sturdy, durable wooden box designed to prevent transit damage and ensure safe long-distance ocean shipping.
